Cruisin Marys

Mary & Dave went to El Castillo de San Lorenzo for a tour of a fort along the Chagres River. It was very interesting and in a beautiful location. Afterward, we visited the Gatun Lock area at the beginning of the Panama Canal. Colom was very quiet, and most shops were closed, since it was Christmas Day. …….

Mary and Kevin went to Panama City and spent time in the Old City. Panama City is very beautiful and modern with hundreds of skyscrapers. The Old City was a contrast to the skyscrapers with the traditional facades on the buildings preserved by UNESCO. We visited the gold altar and the cathedral and of course had to take pictures of the beautiful flowers in the window boxes.

We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas dinner followed by a rum tasting later in the evening.
