Cape Town, South Africa – Apr 3 -4

Busy fun overnight stay in Cape Town. First day we did a tour that took us to amazing and beautiful places. Below is Clifton, the water and mountain views were breathtaking.

Pictures to prove we really visited these places.

Loved the Cape of Good Hope and the seals that live there.

At Cape Point we took the funicular to almost the top of the mountain.

It was more than a little windy there!

Lighthouse at the peak was beautiful.

And so were the views.

Boulders is a preserve for African Penguins. They were adorable.

The babies were soooooo cute!

We also visited the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens. The national flower of South Africa, the Protea.

On Day 2 it seemed like a good idea to visit Stellenbosch and do a little souvenir shopping.

Then, we couldn’t help ourselves, we had to do some wine tasting. We started at Marianne’s Wine Estate. We loved all 6 wines that we tried there.

We tried some Pinotage, which is unique to the area.

Then we went to Fairview Winery and farm. They also had amazing wines with great cheeses to pair them with.

As we sailed away from Cape Town, seeing the lights on Table Mountain was so cool.
